Excerpt. The second BAC4SHC research agenda connects the latest literature with evidence emerging from the project’s surveys, workshop and databases.
BAC4SHC has completed its second research agenda on business angels and crowd investors. The agenda updates the project’s earlier literature mapping and integrates new research questions emerging from the investor surveys, stakeholder interaction and database-development activities.
The review highlights recurring gaps concerning data quality and methodology, investor heterogeneity, networks and syndication, post-investment involvement, screening and due diligence, sustainability and impact finance, gender and equality, and public policy.
The agenda is designed as a resource for researchers entering or developing work in entrepreneurial finance. It also provides a bridge between the project’s conceptual foundations and its empirical analyses of investor human capital, startup performance, innovation and sustainability.
The updated research agenda is available here.
